Twyla woke up early the next morning to Allura gently shaking her.

"Wake up, sleepy head. It's your wedding day. Things to do. Things to do."

Twyla opened her eyes and smiled up at Allura. She reached over to where Hunk had been sleeping but he wasn't there.

"Where's Hunk?"

"He woke up early so he and Keith are getting ready and getting groom stuff done."

"Oh." Twyla got up. "It's going to be such a nice day. I hope everything goes all right."

"Don't worry, it will."

Twyla got up quickly and showered. When she came back Allura was waiting with Princess Romelle and a couple of other girls that Twyla had met at her party. They were all dressed in long sunshine yellow dresses. It was a tight bodiced dress with a shimmering lace shawl that attached to the front of the bodice in place of straps, went over the shoulders and hung down the elbows in a "V" shape. The skirt went down to the floor in a tulip shape. Twyla was impressed, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

Romelle took a step forward with a big smile, Twyla loved how her hair was piled high on her head with long ringlets hanging down.

"Time to get ready."

The other two girls brought out a large budle of white. Twyla shook her head.

"I can't wear white. I'm not pure anymore."

"Who said it was completely white?" Allura snickered.

It took all four of them but they got her into the dress. As she stared into the mirror she realized Allura was right, it was not completely white.

The tight bodice was a white gossamer top that seemed to shimmer first silver than gold. The full flowing skirts flowed out behind her with layers of rippling gossamer material that seemed to shimmer all the colors of the Voltron Lions.

Twyla was near to tears as the girls sat her down to do her hair. They piled it high on her head with lots of ribbons and curls. When they attached the veil Twyla didn't think she was going to be able to hold her head up it felt so heavy.

When they were done they all stood back to admire thei handywork. Twyla twirled around a few times in front of the mirror. When the revelation of cold fett struck her she turned sharply to face Allura.

"I don't know if I can do this. Aren't we moving too fast? I mean, we've only been together for a little while."

"Don't worry, everything will work out fine. You two love each other and that's all that matter."

Twyla hugged Allura.

"I hope isn't as nervous as I and getting on a little better."

At that moment Hunk was desperately trying to get into his own tux with the others all trying to help him. The only one that sat back and watched the hassle was Sven.

"Don't you think that Hunk is big enough to get dressed by himself?" Sven inqured.

The others steeped back realising that Sven was right. Hunk stood there looking rumpled.

"I think I'll be able to finish but thanks for the help anyway."

Hunk went to the bathroom to finish and came out looking extraordinaly handsome. Even his everpresent headband was gone and his hiar was comb back nice and slick.

Sven got up quietly ffrom his chair and went over to Hunk. There was a small smile as he pinned a carnation on Hunk's lapel. It was a soft pink with a little white trim. It went great with the soft white of his tux.

The others were all decked out in their dress uniforms with a flower bearing the color of their Lions pinned to it.

"I can't thank you guys enough for standing by me through all of this. If it weren't for you guys I think I would be a nervous wreck."

Lance patted Hunk on the shoulder.

"Anything for you, big guy."

"I'm really glad in my choice for best man."

They all smiled.

"Well, I think it's time we got to the church."

They all left the room and went to the ruins that had been fixed up and decorated to be a little chapel. The seats were decorated with all sorts of roses and ribbons. There were streamers making an artifical canopy overhead.

Hunk took his place at the alter with Keith, Lance, Pidge and Sven along side of him. When the guest started arriving Lance and Sven made sure that they were seated properly and comfortable.

Once all of the guests had arrived the minister gave a slight nod of his head. In a small room just a few feet away Allura saw the nod.

"Okay, here we go." Allura motioned for the other girls to go first. When they had gotten a certian distance, Romelle went. Allura gave Twyla one last quick hug before she started up the aisle.

Tywla steadied herself as she watched Allura walk up the asile. She took a deep breath and started up as the music started to drift to her.

She felt like she was about to faint by the time she got to Hunk. She gripped his arm tightly to steady herself.

As the minister started to speak the words of marriage Twyla felt like her ears were filling up with water. The roar was intense. Little black spots started to appear before her eyes and she could taste the fact that there was a good chance that she would throw up.

She sqeezed his arm tight enough that it made him look over at her. He gently put his arm around her waist. She kissed his cheek lightly.

"I'm okay, though I think I would like to do the rest of this sitting down."

"Hey, that can be done."

Hunk gently helped her to sit down, then sat down beside her.

"Continue."

The minister continured his words until it was time to exchange vows.

"Do you wish to use the traditional vows or have you written your own?"

"Well," Hunk rubbed the back of his neck hard. "I thought I wanted to use the traditional vows but now that it's come to that time I think I know what I want to say that has more meaning."

Hunk took Twyla's hand in his.

"Twyal, I love you and I promise that I will never leave you, regardless of the circumstances. You are the most beautiful, wonderful woman that I have ever met and I swear that I will do everything to protect you and keep you safe. I would give you everything I had to protect you, even my life. It's not just your body I love but your mind and your soul. Til death do us part."

With that he turned to his friends. Sven dug into his pocket and brought out a wedding band. He passed it down the line until Pidge handed it to Hunk. Hunk held it up for the minster to bless then gently slid it onto Twyla's finger.

Twyla stared at it for a few minutes then looked down at her line. The last girl took a ring out of her dress and passed it down the line to Allura who passed it to Twyla. Twyla took it and looked at Hunk.

"You are my love, my one true desire. I have wanted to be with you since the first time I met you when you defened and protected me. I would give everything I have to stay with you and grow old with you. I will never let anything come between you and I. Together forever."

She held the ring up for the minister to bless it then slid it onto Hunk's finger.

"May I announce Hunk and Twyla. The newest addition to the blessed union of marriage."

Hunk stood up and helped Twyla to her feet then kissed her deeply. Everyone started to cheer.

They went down the asile and everyone followed. It was a wonderful reception as Twyla and Hunk danced the night away. When it came to midnight it was time to go on their honeymoon. Hunk helped Twyla into the shuttle then turned back to the crowd.

"I want to thank you all for coming. it has been a very special day and night for both of us. I want to thank my closest friends for putting this all together and helping us through it all. Thank you."

Hunk got into the ship and Twyla leaned out.

"Thank you all. I owe you all so much. I love you. Thank you."

Once Hunk got everything settled and they were in the air, only then did Twyla start to feel how exhausted she was but happy and content.

Everything had turned out all right in the end and for that she was grateful. She cuddled into Hunk and started to drift off. Thank you, she thought, thank you for Hunk and thank you for this wonderful new life. I finally now have everything I want and I shall want for nothing. Thank you.

And with that twyla fell asleep to await her honeymoon and her wonderful new life that was soon to follow.

The End.
